Ran away from the Subscriber last Night, a Negro Woman named Lettice, she's of a very sprightly make, of midling height, and slender built, borne upon Long Island, speaks good English, carried with her a coarse purple and white chintz Gown; a strip'd linnen, and a brown worsted Ditto, three strip'd Petticoats, a red tammy Quilt, two new towcloth Shirts, a red broadcloth Cloak, a pair blue cloth Shoes, a black Bonnet, and sundry other articles. Whoever will return said Negro to the Subscriber in Norwich, shall have Two Dollars Reward, and all necessary Charges paid by me THOMAS TRUMAN. Norwich, May 27, 1773.
