Primus

Run-away from his master Joseph Clarke, of Newport in the colony of Rhode Island, about the 10th day of June last, a Mustee man Slave named PRIMUS; he is a fellow of a middling stature, well set, and stoops a little in his shoulders, a cunning, artful rogue, reads well, and writes a legible hand; had on when he went away, a red shag great coat, a thick grey full cloth and a striped flannel jacket, a tow cloth shirt, an old beaver hat shoes and stockings. He is a smooth tongu'd fellow, but when surpriz'd he stammers much in his speech; has a large scar on one of his [Insteps], and another on the calf of one of his legs, occasioned by being cut with a scythe. Whoever will apprehend the said fellow, and secure him in any of his Majesty's goals, so that his said master may have him again, shall have TEN DOLLARS reward, and all necessary charges paid. Jos.
