RAN away from the subscriber, on the night of the 29th of August last, an indented apprentice to the shoemaking and tanning business, named Seth Hotchkiss, about 20 years of age. Said boy is small of his age, dark complexion, a black, downcast, guilty Indian eye; plays on a fiddle equal to Sambo, and is very fond of trying to dance; has an indolent disposition, and a little apt to take things not his own. Stole and carried away sundry articles of shoemaking tools; wore and carried away with him one blue broadcloth coat and pantaloons, a black silk vest, one homemade blue coat and pantaloons, one white vest, one striped vest, with sundry other articles of clothing, &c. One cent reward will be given for the runaway, but no charges paid; and two dollars for the property carried away. All persons are hereby forbid harboring, trusting, or employing said boy, on penalty of the law. H TOMAS LEE. Berlin, Sept. 2, 1819.
