TEN DOLLARS REWARD. DESERTED from Hartford on the 4th inst. Joseph Spaulding, a fifer in the infantry of the United States; born in Middletown, State of Vermont, twenty-two years of age, five feet ten inches high, dark complexion, dark eyes, and black hair - wore and took with him a round hat, a scarlet regimental coat, a regimental vest, a nankeen jacket, a regimental shirt, one pair of regimental overalls; he also took with him a German flute and two music books. It is supposed the deserter committed a murder not long since in Pennsylvania, as he answers the description of the murderer. Whoever will apprehend and secure said deserter in any gaol in the United States, or deliver him at any place of rendezvous, shall receive the above reward, and all necessary charges paid.
