Whereas Phebe my wife in a private manner last evening eloped from my bed and board, carrying property with her to the amount of seventy dollars, and taking my son Benjamin with her, aged 14 years: These therefore are to forbid, and I do hereby forbid any person of persons whatsoever to harbour or trust either of them with any thing on my account, as I shall pay no debts of their contracting after this date; but two cents reward shall be given to any man that will take up and return to me said runaway boy, but no charges will be paid, by Zephaniah Ross. Stafford, July 13, 1798.
