Twenty Dollars Reward. DESERTED from the subscriber's service on the 3d instant, a man who called his name Asa Jones, and said he belonged to Mistick, about twenty-years of age, of a midling size, with light brown or sandy hair friz'd at the ears, dark gray eyes, and a down look; had on a light coloured great coat, a light coloured strait bodied coat too small for him, a yellow baize vest tied with green strings, a brown jean vest, blue overhalls buttoned at the ankles, an old check'd shirt much patched, old worsted stockings, large square plated shoe buckles, a black silk handkerchief, and a large slopt hat - Stole and carried away an old large sorrel or chesnut Horse, well made, about 15 hands high, a large white streak in his face, natural trotter and very handy to lead a team, hair worn off on his sides by frawing, a crack in one of his fore hoofs, shod before and toe cork'd and no shoes behind, an old saddle with a deerskin seat patched, and the girt mended near the middle with a wax'd end, an old bridle, a pair of horse-hide saddle baggs much worn; missed at the same time a new fine Holland shirt ruffled at the bosom and slits. The thief is supposed to have hone to the northward. Whoever will take up and return the thief and horse shall have twenty dollars reward, or ten dollars for the thief or horse only, paid by GEORGE SMITH. Hartford, May 8, 1789.
