550 Continental Dollars Reward. ON the evening after the 30th of May instant, Litchfield County Gaol was broke open, and the following prisoners made their escape, viz. JOHN WELCH, a deserter from the British, an Irishman; confined for murder, short thick set about 21 years old. NICHOLAS DAVENPORT about 21 years old, a short thick set fellow; sentenced by the Honorable Superior Court, to 10 years imprisonment in New Gate. CALEB AUSTIN Jun. of Suffield about 20 years of age; confined by judgment of Court, for attempting to join the enemy. EBENEZER REED of Samford, about 22 years of age, short of stature; confined on suspecion of treason. NATHANIEL HUSTEAD, PHINEAS RUNDLE, JOSEPH BEARD and CHARLES BUCKSTON, all of Horse Neck; confined for treason. Hustead, Rundle and Beard are all young fellows, of a middling size about 20 years of age. Busckston is about 32 years of age, tall slim built. Also, one WILLIAM THOMSON Pennsylvania born, about 21 years of age, small of statute; confined for debt. Whoever will apprehend and return the above prisoners to said goal again, shall have as a reward for Welch and Davenport, 100 Dollars each: And, for Austin, Reed, Hustead, Rundle, Beard, Buckston and Thompson, 50 Dollars each, paid by LYNDE LORD, Sheriff. Litchfield, May 31, 1780. N.B The Cloathing of the above fellows cannot be described.
