Hartford, June 19, 1779. ESCAPED from the goal last Tuesday afternoon, 3 prisoners of war, viz. Joseph Bradly, a tall lusty man, perhaps near 40 years old, was a serjeant of grenadiers, very poorly cloathed, his outside covering was a very poor almost worn out blue great coat. Another named Thomas Slater, a sailor, also a tall lusty man, about the same age. The other is a Thomas Ward, who was taken up at Waterbury and returned. It is hoped they may be taken up and returned. and when I am informed of it necessary charges shall be paid, by E. WILLIAMS, Dep. Com. Pris.
