James Foster

DESERTED from the 8th Connecticut Battalion about theh 7th instant, JAMES FOSTER, an Irishman, about 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches high, brown hair, walks trim, speaks very plausible, has lost the sight of one eye, had with him a new red regimental coat and an old blue one. Whoever willl return said Foster to the regiment, in Gen. Parsons' brigade, shall receive 8 dollars reward and necessary charges, by DANIEL BARNS, Capt. Lieut. Camp, Reading, Feb. 16 1779.
