DESERTED from Continental service Icabod Peavy of Voluntown a draughted man for the Continental army refusing to march according to orders, was taken, and inlisted himself a soldier in Continental army, in Col. Durkees regiment, to serve in Capt. Webbs company until the 1st day of July next after which he made his escape, and is not to be found, supposed to be in Voluntown, or gone to Pescateway, Whoever will take up said defector, and deliver him to me in Windham shall be intitled to ten dollars reward, and all necessary expenses paid, by me JOHN RIPLEY. recruiting officer for the 5th brigade. Hartford, July 16 1778.
