THIS is to give notice to all whom it may concern, to Lieut. John Buell, in Col. Durkey's regiment, in particular, that on sunday the 13th instant I took up a fellow advertise in the Connecticut Courant of the 7th of April; he appears to be undoubtedly the same man, has every mark and all the cloaths by which he is described, the scar in the forehead; I put him under the care of two men, but he escaped in the night and fled; but for fear he would escape I took all his money and cloaths from him; he had 30l. 16s. and 8d. Any officer that has receipts for bounty against said fellow, may have the money, to the value of what I have got, except my own cost, by applying to BENJAMIN READ, 1st Lieutenatn of Capt. Luke Days company, in Col. Aldans regiment, destined to Pecks Kills. Williamsburgh, Massachusetts-Bay, county of Hampshire, April 24, 1777.
