DESERTED from Westfield, the 14th inst. one John Murray of Capt. Slayton's company, and Col. Shepard's regiment, about thirty five or seven years of age, dark complexion, much pitted with the small-pox, wears a tied wigg and cock'd hat, or otherwise a white linnen cap, had on when he went away a grey surtout coat, a bvery good sky coloured cloath [...], has lived some time in Southamton, is an Irishman, walks very strait, is a good taylor by trade, about 5 feet 6 inches high, he formerly lived at Hebron, in Connecticut. Whoever will apprehend said deserter and return him to the subscriber at Westfield, or confine him in any of the goals in this State, shall have 5 dollars reward, paid by WM. SHEPPARD, Col. April 21, 1777.
