RAN away from the subscriber a negro man, named Caesar upwards of five feet high, about 23 years of age, took with him, one brown coat, one blue ditto, one brown waistcoat, three pair of stockings, four shirts, two pair of shoes, a pair of silver shoe buckles, two pair of leather breeches, two wollen blankets, and one felt hat, also a Bible and Watts's Psalms and Hymns. Whoever will secure and return said servant to his Master, shall have SIX DOLLARS reward, and all necessary charges paid, by JAPHET CHAPIN. Springfield, April 16, 1777. N.B. All officers in the army and all other persons are cautioned not to encourage said Caesar's absence from his Master.
