DESERTED from Capt. Beardslee's company in Col. Swifts regiment, on or about the 25th of March, one Ezra Prindle, late of Woodbury, about 40 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, dark Brown hair, grey eyes, some grey hairs, pitted with the small pox, blue outside jacket coat, old leather breeches. Also deserted, one Stephen Hag, as he called himself, but it is supposed his name is Fowler, belinging to the Massachussetts State, about 22 years of age, about 6 feet high, short dark brown hair, light complexion, had on a light coloured brown coat faced with blue, walks upright, it is supposed that he is gone towards Boston. Also one Samuel Sturdivant, belonging to Reading, in the State of Connecticut, about twenty-five years of age, well set, black hair, black eyes. Also one William Jemmerson, a Scotchman, belonging to the State of Connecticut, about 24 years of age, about 5 feet 5 inches high, black long hair. Whoever will secure said deserters in any goal, or bring them to New Milford, to Lieut. Col. Starr, so that they may join thier regiment, shall have twenty dollars reward, or five dollars for each deserter and all charges paid, by JAMES BARNS, Lieut. New-Fairfield, April 9th, 1777.
