DESERTED from Captain Abby's company, in Colonel Wylly's regiment, on the 5th instant, a soldier who call himself John Delany, is a native of Ireland, twenty-four years of age, five feet ten inches high, black hair, light coloured eyes, red complexion, pitted with the small pox. Had on when he went away a linnen frock, a brown outside best, with a red [...] under it, new dark brown woollen breeches, brown woollen stockings. Whoever will take up said deserter and return him to the subscriber, or confine him in goal and give notice, so that he may be taken and joined to his regiment shall have five dollars reward and all necessary charges paid, by me, THOMAS ABBY, Captain. Enfield, May 7, 1777.
