DESERTED from Hartford, on the night after the 21st of March last, from Capt. Bernard's company, in Col. Wylly's regiment, two solders: James Jeffrys, a native of Ireland about 5 feet 10 inches high, dark short strait hair, a scar over each eye on his forehead and right cheek, wore or carried with him, a grey Surtout, one brown short coat, three waistcoats, a light brown, a red, and one striped green breeches. William Davidson, a Scotchman, about 5 feet 6 inches high, dark complexion brown hair [...], carried off a light brown regimental coat, with red facings, one blue coat, buff coloured waistcoat, buck skin breeches. --- Whoever will apprehend either of said deserters, and return them to the regiment shall have five dollars reward for each, and all expenses paid, by CHARLES MILLER, Lieut. Hartford April 1 1777.
