Run away from the subscriber, on the night of the 17th inst. a transient person, about 23 years old, of a middle statute, dark brown hair, full faced and pitted with the small pox, speaks quick and acts lively; had on when he went away, a light coloured straigt bodied coat and blue vest, a pair of leather breeches, white shirt, a pair of new thick shoes with plain metal shoe buckles and a pair of carved knee ditto, and an old beaver hat; calls his name James Strawbridge, and had stolen the following articles, viz. a light coloured surtout, a blue grogram strait bodied coat, a striped cotton and linen vest, a pair of black Manchester breeches, with plain silver buttons on, a pair of light coloured serge ditto, a pair linnen ditto, a holland shirt, a pair of new calve skin shoes. Whoever will secure the said villain, so that he may be brought to justice, or secure the said articles, so that I can have them, or any part of them, shall be handsomely rewarded, by me Ezra Brownson. Waterbury, April 21, 1776.
