Ran-away from the subscriber Samuel Chapman of Tolland, in Hartford county, the night after the 28th of August last, a Molatto servant named ISRAEL, a strong well built fellow, about 18 years of age, something straitish hair for a Molatto, carried with him a false tail to tie on his hair, one or more small scars on his forehead, wore and carried with him a red black and white mix'd grey colour'd coat, a lappel'd waistcoat with horn buttons brown colour'd, one grey ditto with pewter buttons, 2 pair of streaked linnen trowsers, 1 pair wool ditto, 2 pair stockings, 1 pair twisted black and white, the other red and white, and a pair of thin shoes tap'd, 4 shirts, 2 striped woolen 1 striped linen ditto, 1 check'd ditto, 1 old bever hat, and a buff cap. He went away with a servant boy belonging to William Hatch of said Tolland, named Joseph Robins, a short thick set fellow, about 17 years old, carried a large pack of cloathing. Whoever will take up said runaways, and return them to their masters shall have 4 Dollars reward for the Molatto, and a handsome reward for the boy; and all necessary charges paid, by me SAMUEL CHAPMAN. N. B. All masters of vessels and others are forewarned harbouring said servants. Dated Tolland, September 2, 1774.
