Made their escape from the County Goal in Litchfield on the night of the 25th of January 1772, the following persons, viz. the notorious John Brown, and Isaac Buck. Brown was committed for breaking open the dwelling house of the Rev Mr. Lee of Salisbury, is a short thick fellow, about 5 feet 4 inches high, 22 years of age, has been twice cropt and branded. Buck was committed for counterfeiting coin, is a stout fellow 6 feet high, 40 years of age. Whosoever shall apprehend and return either of said fellows to said goal, shall receive for said Brown Ten Dollars, and for Buck Six Dollars reward, and all reasonable charges paid, by LYNDE LORD, Sheriff. Litchfield, January 26, 1772.
