John Brown, Thomas Martin, Edward Davis, and Mercy Burgy

BROKE out of the county goal in this town last night, a young man of about 20 years of age, well set, short of stature, pretty fair complexion, wears his own hair of a dark colour, calls himself by the name of John Brown, and has been twice crop'd and branded for burglary. - Also Thomas Martin, about 23 years old, light colour'd waistcoat, lined with green baize, swarrthy complexion, wears his own dark colour'd hair, and was committed for horse stealing. - Also one edward Davis, about 40 years old, was committed last summer for passing counterfeit coins, has had his trial, was found guilty, but has not had his punishment. - - Also Mercy Burgy of Colchester, about 50 years old, committed for criminal conversation with a negro. Whoever shall take up one or all of the above criminals, and return them to the goal from whence they made their escape, shall have TWENTY SHILLINGS reward for each, paid by JOHN LORD, GOALER.
