Great-Barrington, June 26, 1771. This day escaped from me the subscriber in this place, a negro man named Harry about 24 years of age speaks good English, had on a red coat, cuff'd and lappel'd with green velvet suppos'd to be an old coat of his masters, Sir John Johnson, Knt. on Mohawk river, said negro is about 5 feet 9 inches high, well built, a pleasant countenance, shows his teeth much when he laughs - has bushy hair behind, and cut off before. Whosoever will take up said negro man and secure him in any of his Majesty's goals, so that Sir John may have notice of him, or to me at Schanectady, shall have Three Dollars reward and all necessary charges paid, by me CALEB GLEASON.
