RUN away from the subscriber hereto, the evening foltowing the 12th of May last from Milford, in the colony of Connecticut, in New-England, a negro man named Newport, aged 29 years, a stout well set, broad shoulder'd fellow, for height about middling, rather stoops when walking, if carefully observed, was born in Newport, Rhode Island, talks plain. He carried with him, one brown homespun flannel coat and breeches almost new, and one scarlet broad cloth best, with ftowered pewter buttons also one coarse cinamon colour'd lappel'd broad cloth coat with metal buttons, one blue and one whtie striped lappel'd linen vest, one such shirt, one fine white ditto. three coarse check'd woolen ditto, one course flannel outside jacket, and great coat mix'd, black and white wool, two paur ribb'd stockings, one pale blue worsted, the other brown thread, one old beaver hat, with a white metal button, and silver'd loop. The same night went from the same house, a large white feemale, aged about 27 years, red hair, stoops as she walks about her housework. - Carried off with her sundry aprons, some blue and white small check linen, and some white, one scarlet broad cloth short cloak, much morn with a silver lace about the same, and a woman's black sattin bonnet almost new. She had of her own with her, sundry new tow cloth smocks, several petticoats, striped new linen blue and white short gown, some blue and white check woolen aprons, two check linen handkerchiefs, is something near sighted, wore men's shoes. They were seen about 14 miles to the northward. Whoever will take up said negro, and convey him to the subscriber, or secure him so that he gets him again, if taken in this colony shall recieve Five Dollars, if out of this colony Eight Dollars reward and all necessary charges - and if any of the articles supposed stolen by the feemale be taken and return'd, the person that returns them shall receive half the value of what may be so returned. The foregoing reward shall be paid by EDWARD ALLEN. N. B. If said negro hears of this advertisement and shall return to his duty within one month from the date, he shall be received into his master's service, without corporal punishment.
